This is an interesting recipe that I came across at Aunt Peg’s Recipe Box through Pinterest. Her version calls for 7-Up, but since I didn’t have any I used lime flavored seltzer water instead. It worked perfectly.
These biscuits are amazing. Trust me, you’re going to love them as much as my family and I did.
After I tossed all the ingredients together, the mix was a bit on the sticky side but that’s okay! I simply poured the sticky mixture into the buttered pan and mushed the mix around to the edges. The melted butter helped this along. Be sure to melt your butter beforehand in the pan as you’re preheating the oven.
Seltzer Water Biscuits
2 c. Bisquick
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. 7-Up or Seltzer Water
1/4 c. melted butter
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Melt the butter in your biscuit pan as your preheating the oven.
Mix the first three ingredients together until a sticky dough forms.
Take your warm biscuit pan out of the oven and place the dough mixture on top of the melted butter. Butter will form around and on top of your dough. Spread out evenly. Using a knife, make six biscuit indentions.
Bake for 12-15 min. or until golden brown.
